VMware Appliances and Backup Strategies

VMware has are using a lot of Virtual Appliances to there products, but there are different backup strategies for them. I have compiled a list of some of them here and their options.

Supports quiesced snapshot:

Most appliances supports this, but not all, always check before usingquisced image backup.

  • Important: All nodes are backed up and restored at the same time. You cannot back up and restore individual nodes.
